What have we been up to?
We have had a fantastic Spring and Summer Term at Ysgol Carreg Hir, working with our families and community to support our wonderful pupils.
Reading Cafes
Thank you to all our families who came to our Reading Cafes. The children loved sharing stories with you and making some fun crafts!
Help Your Child Love Maths workshops
Year 3 have been taking part in the Family Maths Toolkit Programme. To launch the programme, we held a ‘Help Your Child Love Maths’ workshop where our families played different number games and talked about using maths in the real world.
Relationship Based Play Sessions
We have been working with the Children and Families Team this term. Thank you to all our parents who took part in the Relationship Based Play sessions.
Voice and Light workshops
In the Summer term, Eco council had the opportunity to work with Save the Children and learn all about climate change and extreme weather. The children used their voices to say how government could help their community in a weather emergency.
Eat Smart, Save Better!
In the Spring term, we held a Eat Smart, Save Better session, where families could explore ways to eat healthily and learn some top tips for saving money.
